Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact
Oddly enough, the Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact is not a compact version of the full-size Xperia Z3 Tablet because no such model exists. But it is close enough to being a smaller version of the Z2 Tablet to make no difference.
This is Sony's first tablet in this size, but to all intents and purposes it is exactly the same as the bigger one. The 8.0" display has the same 1200 x 1920 pixel resolution of the Z2 Tablet, with an 8.1 megapixel primary camera and 2.2 megapixel secondary one, a 2.5GHz CPU with 3GB of RAM, 16GB of storage plus a microSD slot and optional LTE support.
The Xperia Z3 Tablet runs Android 4.4, is waterproof and dustproof to IP68 standard, has a 4500 mAh battery and is very slim at 6.4mm thick and 280 grams in weight.
Ultimately, this is an Android tablet which is much the same as any others, although the Z3 Tablet's comprehensive feature set does mark it out as a premium device.. so expect to pay accordingly, whenever the Z3 Tablet actually hits the market.
